A 30 minute nest

You would be surprised how much satisfaction half an hour of nesting activity in the kitchen can bring!

BEFORE
Under the kitchen sink. This is where we store all the plug in appliances that aren't pretty enough to be out all the time, the bin and the cleaning supplies. This is even the designated spot for the 5kg bag of rice we bought at the Indian supermarket when we were blown away by it's amazing value. A strange combo of cupboard neighbours but it worked for us!

AFTER
Re-arranging and re-locating the annoyingly large rice(which sadly wasn't in the pic) has given us a whole new shelf to play with! Hopefully for something other than oversized impulse purchases.

BEFORE
An explosion of plastic bags and plastic rain poncho's (...you never know when you will need one).

AFTER
Control. Don't worry we kept the ponchos. They were re-located to a more appropriate location seeing as we don't use them  quite as frequently as the Glad Wrap.

BEFORE
Stove items, plus some bonus items that have crept in.

AFTER
We needed a spot for the baby items we will be acquiring along with mini Mansill. So I moved some of the random items that had crept into this cupboard, back to where they belong, and voila! the top shelf is now available for bottles and the other baby paraphernalia that is about to take over our kitchen.

So now that the goodness of my nesting habits have been documented, I am off for an oversized cup of tea and some chocolate :) (because i don't really have gestational diabetes...really).
