20 plus 10

This week I am 30 and so far being 30 is pretty cool, i didn't wake up with grey hair and i still feel the same as I did when i was 20. On my actual birthday I was lucky enough to score breakfast in bed (which i actually ended up eating out of bed to stop little fingers stealing my croissants). Then for lunch our little family went to a Thai restaurant near our house that we have been meaning to go to for ages. It was tasty. Then for dinner we went to my parents house for a family dinner. I requested a roast and yorkshire puddings followed by meringue, my wish was granted sparklers and all. It was delicious. Thanks mum and dad!

Then for the weekend we headed to the coast with my besties and their boys and babies. I'll post more on that later.

Awesome things about being 30 (or not so young in general) so far-

It feels good watching TV on a saturday night and going to bed at 9:30, imagining all the youngsters out in the cold who aren't going to be going to bed until I am getting up.

We now look for nice hotels father than the cheapest hotels. Same goes for restaurants.

I don't worry about what other people think about my clothes, my appearance or me in general.

With age, busyness and parenthood, I have learnt to appreciate the little things. Like silence, pretty views, good friends, wine and family(the last three are actually really super big things).

I can honestly say there is nothing else I wish I had accomplished in my first 30 years and no where else I would rather be. YAY for me.

Things I need to work on during the next decade-

To stop being such an imaginative worrier. More on that later too.

To become fitter than I have ever been before.

To continue being the best mum I can be.

To be a less OCD about things around the house, and let relaxing come before organising (sometimes).

To stop expecting Greg to be an obsessive list maker too :)

Ok time to go and find more awesome things about  being 30.
